Since 1996, about 4,853 academic monographs, 15,882 academic papers and 4,736 research reports have been published and written. Altogether 232 publications have won provincial or ministry level prizes, among number 3 special prizes, 52 first prizes, 140 second prizes and 37 third prizes. The RUC has undertaken 422 national social science projects commissioned by the Ministry of Education and 79 Beijing municipal philosophy and social science program. The university has also undertaken some important national projects, such as the compilation of the Qing History, the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games General Impact Assessment(OGGI). In addition, many influential academic seminars and conferences have been held under the aegis of the RUC.
