RUC Vice-President Ms. Xue Huanbai met with Dr. Robert G. Frank, Senior Vice President and Provost of Kent State University (KSU), USA, and his delegation on June 18th, 2009. The accompanying visitors included Prof. Yank Heisler, Dean of College of Business Administration, Dr. Timothy Moerland, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Mary Anne Saunders, Executive Director of Office of International Affairs, and Dr. Cai Bei, Director of China Center of KSU.

Vice-President Ms. Xue Huanbai extended her warmest welcome to the delegation. She introduced the faculty and students and the disciplinary uniqueness of Renmin University. Dr. Robert G. Frank expressed his gratitude and highly praised the achievement of Renmin University.

Prof. Tang Zhong, Director of RUC International Office, Prof. Jia Guodong, Deputy Dean of RUC School of Foreign Languages, Prof. Mao Jiye, Deputy Dean of RUC School of Business, Prof. Cai Wen, Deputy Dean of RUC School of Journalism, Dr. Xuan Tianying, Vice-Director of RUC Academic Affairs Office, also attended the meeting. During the meeting, representatives of some Schools introduced the general information of their schools, and put forward some constructive suggestions on the fields and ways of cooperation between the two universities. The KSU delegation quite agreed on their points.

Both sides launched a discussion on the 3+2 Program, and would exchange further views between bilateral schools.
