“China-Korea Friendship Forum” Opens in RUC

A total of more than 100 distinguished guests and representatives attended the forum, such as Mr. Luo Haocai, Former Vice-Chairman of National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and President of China-Korea Friendship Association, Mr. Chen Haosu, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Mr. Lee Sai Kee, President of Korea-China Friendship Association, Mr. Gong Sun-jin, Supreme Council member of Korean Grand National Party, Prof. Cheng Tianquan, Chairman of Renmin University Council, and Prof. Han Dayuan, Dean of RUC School of Law. With the theme of “Together we are one to create the future—co-establish the Sino-Korea Strategic Partnership harmoniously in 21st Century”, this forum consisted of two phases of opening ceremony and group discussion.
President Chen Haosu, President Lee Sai Kee, and Chairman Cheng Tianquan gave their congratulatory speeches on the opening ceremony. By introducing the exchanges and cooperation between Renmin University and Korean universities and educational institutes, Chairman Cheng said that there was a long history of cultural education exchanges between China and Korea, so it was quite significant for improvement of Sino-Korea communicative level and construction of Sino-Korea strategic partnership in 21st Century to strengthen the two countries’ educational exchanges, especially among universities. Later in the group discussion, attendants delivered their speeches and discussed about exchanges between China and Korea regarding politics, society, economics, enterprises, media, and so on.
Opened under the grand background of construction of China-Korea strategic partnership for intensifying cooperation and meeting challenges together, the “China-Korea Friendship Forum” aims to bridge civil exchanges between China and Korea so as to increase communication and understanding, reconcile conflicts, develop together, and make new contributions to the continuous, steady and healthy development of Sino-Korea relationship in 21st Century.
