As the No.204 torchbearer, Prof. Chen took the torch handled by the last torchbearer in the Sports Center of Guilin and ran in the Gymnasium to great fanfare.
After the relay, Prof. Chen accepted an interview by media. He said, the Olympic flame was the flame of sacred, flame of peace, and flame of civilization. So it was the responsibility of every torchbearer to carry on the Olympic spirit and promote love and contribution in the whole society. As for the earthquake happened in Wenchuan, he said, students and faculties of Renmin will unite together and make contribution to the reconstruction of disaster area.
