Renmin Joins the Annual Conference of NAFSA 2008 Annual Conference—Expo in U.S.

The two representatives of Renmin played an active role in the conference. They took full advantage to communicate with other representatives from home and abroad, participate in various exchange activities and made presentations in sessions.
On the afternoon of 28 May, as the Vice President of Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), Prof. Tang chaired session concerning “An Update on Higher Education in the Asia-Pacific Region presented by APAIE”. Ms Cheng made a presentation entitled “Renmin University of China: International Strategy in next 10 Years”. On the morning of 30 May, Prof. Tang was invited again to host another session “New Development of Chinese Higher Education”, in which Ms. Cheng spoke on “Renmin University of China: Student Mobility Strategy”.
By joining the session conferences, Renmin shared its general circumstances and future plan for internationalization. As the Chinese higher education has drawn wide attention from international community while exert more and more effects on international higher education, Renmin University of China, one of the most prestigious universities in China will take the responsibility to promulgate the achievements reached by the Chinese higher education and expand the global influences of the university.
Association of International Educators whose forerunner was National Association of Foreign Student Adviser aims to promote international education and provide professional development opportunities to the field.
