Prof. Chen Yulu, Vice President of Renmin met with Dr. Mashiri Pedzisai, Dean of School of Liberal Arts, Director of Confucius Institute in Zimbabwe University on 29^th May, 2008.

Mr. Pedzisai briefed the current situations of the Confucius Institute, concerning teaching scale, faculty force and facilities. He said, the Confucius Institute in Zimbabwe University not only offers elementary courses for local Chinese children, but also provides undergraduate education for Zimbabwean native students as well as continuing education for adults. Also, he expected Renmin provide help in training teachers and accepting international students from Zimbabwe.

Prof. Chen said Renmin was very willing to give any capable support to the Confucius Institute. The two sides will take care of the details later.

Mrs. Takawira Ngaa, Deputy Registrar for Academic Affairs from Zimbabwe University; Mr. Wang Qingyuan, Deputy Director of International Office of Renmin, and  Ms. Li Hui, Vice Dean of School of Liberal Arts attended the meeting.
