As one of the most outstanding higher education institutes in China, Renmin University of China provides numerous excellent students to society every year, and this year, to Beijing 2008 Olympics and Paralympics  too.

Up to now, about 3500 Renmin students have been recruited as volunteers for 2008 Olympics. They serve for the Media operation, transportation, accommodation, contest organization and so on. Some of them have already participated in the Good Luck Beijing test event and do a generally acknowledged good job.

On 2nd March, the Education department of Beijing municipal government granted Renmin “the excellent organization in preparing for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympics”.

On 5th, The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) particularly sent letter to Renmin to praise for the splendid work Renmin students had done in media operation.

On 9th, officials in charge of the National Stadium praised Renmin volunteers for the brilliant work in serving for the shooting venue.

From president, administrative departments to individual students, the whole university pay special attention to the Olympic volunteer work. The enthusiasm and professional qualities presented by Renmin volunteers have impressed the BOCOG very much.

It is reasonable to believe that volunteers of Renmin will offer the world a pleasant surprise in Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympics with their smile.
