Sino-Australian Law School Deans Conference held in RUC

Jointly sponsored by Renmin University of China and the School of Law of University of Canberra , and supported by the School of Law of Shantou University , the Joint Conference of Sino-Australian Law School Deans was held in RUC on July 4 and 5. More than 100 deans from Chinese and Australian schools of law and jurists attended the meeting. This is a grand academic meeting of the highest level and largest scale in the fields of education of law of China and Austalia.

Xiao Yang, Chief Justice and President, Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China; Philip Ruddock, MP, Australian Attorney-General; Ji Baocheng, President of RUC; Zhao Dacheng, Vice Minister of Justice of the People’s Republic of China; Dai Yuzhong, Grand Prosecutor of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of the People’s Republic of China; Dr Alan Thomas, Australian Ambaassador to the People’s Republic of China; Yu Ning, President of the National Bar Association of China; Mr Tim Bugg, President of Law Council of Australia; Wu Qiuzhen, Director-General of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China; Prof Ji Baocheng, RUC President; Prof Feng Huiling, RUC Vice President; Prof Wang Liming, Dean of the School of Law of RUC; Prof Zeng Xianyi, Honorary Dean, Law School of Renmin University of China; Prof Raff Murray, Dean of Law, University of Canberra; Prof Zhang Wenxian, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Council, Jilin University; Prof Du Gangjian, Dean of the School of Law of Shantou University attended the conference.

Prof Han Dayuan, Senior Vice Dean of the School of Law of RUC chaired the opening ceremony.
